With the English and American Insurance Group going into administration several years ago, the companies Rugby Team decided that this minor setback was no reason to stop them going on a Rugby Tour.
Consequently this year saw the clubs eighteenth consecutive tour and as a result they are Burleigh Travel’s most loyal and longstanding customers.
In recognition of this feat the clubs were rewarded with a hospitality day at Stroud Rugby Club, where lunch and an open bar helped them enjoy watching Stroud beat Thornbury in their Western Counties League encounter.
The event was well attended and saw many old acquaintances renewed and a long list of tour anecdotes recalled.
Such was the success it is proposed this becomes an annual event.
In the meantime the club looks forward to its nineteenth tour to Slovenia next September.
