Our Mini and Junior Rugby Festivals offer some exciting destinations for your next rugby tour.  High quality holiday parks or activity centres, offering a range of activities to keep your players entertained away from the rugby field, provide the base for the majority of the listed rugby festivals.  Follow the links below to read more about each rugby festival or tournament and ensure a memorable rugby tour for your players ensues.

With the growing interest in girl’s rugby, we are pleased to announce some new girl’s rugby festivals and tours, perfect for your next girl’s tour with opportunities to watch a Women’s Premiership game or even an International game.  The Devon Big Bash Girls Festival offers high-quality holiday parks and a range of activities to keep your players entertained off the rugby field.  There are also opportunities for girls rugby at our other events, detailed below, staying at either holiday park or PGL accommodation.   Follow the links below to read more and ensure a memorable rugby tour for your players.

We offer a range of events, throughout the UK and Europe, which should offer an option for all clubs in terms of travel distance.  Our accommodation options are also varied from high quality holiday parks, PGL activity centres, hotels or hostels so you can choose the best accommodation to suit your group.

All our mini and junior rugby festivals are RFU approved so you can be assured they will be run in line with the governing body’s guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment for your team.

While the rugby aspect is clearly a key factor, it is equally important to allow your players time to enjoy team building and fun activities with their friends. Evening events, shared meals, and mixed-team activities encourage friendships across clubs, creating a more inclusive and memorable experience.

With our mini and junior rugby festivals becoming so popular, many clubs return year after year — meaning space for new clubs is fairly limited. The earlier you make your enquiry, the better your chance of securing a place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Burleigh Travel organises a wide range of rugby festivals tailored for mini, junior, girls, youth and senior teams. These events take place in high-quality venues such as holiday parks or activity centres, providing full festival atmospheres beyond just match play. In addition to standard fixtures, the festivals offer social and recreational elements to keep participants engaged off the pitch — for example evening entertainment, non-rugby activities, and opportunities for team bonding. Because we run and partner with multiple established rugby festivals, our offerings vary by season and destination, ensuring teams can find a festival that aligns with their competitive level, age, travel goals and budget. With more than 30 years of experience, Burleigh Travel has refined its festival operations to provide well-structured, enjoyable, and professionally managed rugby events.
Choosing the right festival involves balancing match quality, logistics and experience. First, consider your team’s age group and then think about distance and travel cost; UK festivals may be more accessible, while European or international festivals offer unique exposure. Also review what’s included: number of matches, amenities, accommodation, social events and festival infrastructure. Speak with our team — we’ll guide you through available festival options, present comparisons, and tailor a suggestion that fits your goals and budget. Drawing on over 30 years of organising rugby festivals, we’re well-placed to recommend the most suitable options and ensure each team gets the right competitive and social balance.
A rugby festival package from Burleigh Travel typically includes festival entry, accommodation in suitable venues (holiday parks, activity centres or hotels), transport or transfers, festival coordination, and on-site support. Meals, festival registration, referees, and social events are often packaged in. Off-field activities may include team challenges, evening entertainment or sightseeing depending on the location. We advise on equipment, medical needs, and liaison with local staff to ensure smooth operations. During the festival, we maintain direct contact to resolve issues swiftly. All logistical elements are coordinated so coaches and players can focus on the rugby and the experience rather than the behind-the-scenes.
We strongly recommend booking your place 9 to 12 months in advance, especially if the festival is popular and likely to sell out. Many rugby festivals limit entries, and early booking ensures you secure the best venues, match variety, accommodation and transport rates. For less busy events or local festivals, 6 to 9 months ahead may still work, but options often narrow closer to the date. Booking early also gives your team, parents and stakeholders time to arrange logistics, fundraising, travel documents, and training plans. If you approach us closer to event dates, we’ll do our best to secure a spot, but flexibility may be more limited.
We work with local clubs, tournament organisers and festival committees to source appropriate opponents and ensure balanced fixtures. Based on your team’s age, ability and desired level of competition, we propose match pairings that challenge your team without creating mismatches. We handle the negotiation, scheduling, referee assignment and communication with local hosts. We also factor in travel times and rest periods to avoid excessive fatigue. If a festival is structured (group stages, knockouts, etc.), we advise on best placement and strategies.
We always build contingency plans into festival packages. On-site staff provide operational support and liaise with festival organisers. During the festival, we maintain open communication and rapid issue resolution, so your focus stays on your team’s experience and performance.
