General Football Tournament Information
The year 2026 marks the 38th edition of The Hageland Cup, an International Youth Football Tournament which is the biggest in Belgium and attracts teams from many different countries. Over recent years, more than 150 teams have taken part from 8 different nations, which included The Czech Republic, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, and of course Belgium. This is an international youth football tournament for boys U8 – U17.
You will be based in holiday park accommodation, within easy travelling distance to the tournament venue, which boasts a range of activities that are sure to keep your group entertained throughout the duration of your stay. This safe and secure environment also offers a bar and restaurant for the older members to enjoy.
Your Football Tour Itinerary
Departure Day
You will depart your club by coach where you will travel to Dover for your morning or early afternoon ferry crossing to Calais. The crossing will take approximately 1½ hours and once in France your coach will transfer you to your accommodation in Belgium where you will check in and explore your surroundings.
| Tournament Day 1
You will take part in the first day of the Hageland Cup where you will play matches in a group format. When your group are away from the football pitches you will have the opportunity to visit a nearby theme park or have a go at ta team building activity such as Go-Karting. |
| Tournament Day 2
After breakfast you will take part in the second day of the tournament where the top two teams from each group play two or three games to challenge for the Hageland Cup Trophy. The teams that finish third and fourth in their respective groups will also play matches to determine final positions. Once the tournament has been complete, the presentations will be made. Each participating team will receive mementos of the tournament. |
Final Day
The morning will be free to use the facilities at your holiday park until you travel to the ferry port for your late afternoon return sailing, arriving in Dover approximately 1 ½ hours later to complete your journey home.
