Senior Football Tour to Cologne

The players of Lurcher Football Club travelled to Cologne on what was their first visit to a City that they later described as very beautiful and cosmopolitan. The tour benefited from excellent accommodation in the heart of the City, two evenly matched football fixtures and an excellent coach driver; now an honorary club member!

The players relished the opportunity to renew the long standing English / German rivalry on the pitch with their final game seeing an English win on penalties….something you don’t see that often!!

The footballers from Nottinghamshire were very well looked after by both host clubs who provided a friendly German welcome, good food and a good few drinks!
