Junior Cricket Tour to Paphos

The players and parents of Heaton Mersey Cricket Club U13 traveled to Paphos in Cyprus for their 2009 cricket tour.

The group were based in hotel accommodation ideal for a junior cricket tour, where facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, games room with table tennis, pool tables and video games combined with a nightly entertainment program ensured that they was plenty to do away from the cricket pitch.

Three cricket fixtures were played against local opposition where the tourists performed well with batsmen reaching good totals in each of their innings. The bowlers also came to the party, restricting the hosts to lesser totals giving well deserved victories to the tourists.

The group ended their tour with a team meal at the hotels traditional Cypriot evening; an ideal way to end a memorable experience in an exciting cricket tour destination.
